PHPLIST (E-MAIL LIST)
WHAT IS PHPLIST?
PHPList is a mailing list which allows you to store all addresses on the server so that you can access them at any time from any computer that is connected to the Internet.
HOW TO SET UP A NEW MAILING LIST
1. Open your Internet browser (Explorer, Firefox, Safari)
2. Type in www.YOURWEBSITE.com/mailings/admin/
3. Enter your login name and password
4. On the right-hand side, click “Lists”
5. Click “Add a List”
6. Type in a list name
7. Check the “Make List Active” box
8. Type in an order for listing (optional)
9. Type a list description (optional)
10. Click “Save”
11. You may edit the list, view the members and activate and deactivate the list from the main lists page
12. PLEASE NOTE: Don’t ever delete a list, as that would erase all the address in that list.
13. Don’t forget to log out!
HOW TO ADD NEW E-MAIL ADDRESSES
1. Open your Internet browser (Explorer, Firefox, Safari)
2. Type in www.YOURWEBSITE.com/mailings/admin/
3. Enter your login name and password
4. On the right-hand side, click “Lists”
5. Click “View Members” next to the list to which you want to add addresses
6. Type in the e-mail address in the “Add a User” box
7. Click “Add”
8. The list will check that it’s not a duplicate, then send you to a page where you can fill out any other details you have on the customer
9. Click “Add User”
10. Don’t forget to log out!

HOW TO SEND A BASIC E-MAIL TO MY LIST
1. Open your Internet browser (Explorer, Firefox, Safari)
2. Type in www.YOURWEBSITE.com/mailings/admin/
3. Enter your login name and password
4. On the right-hand side, click “Send a Message”
5. Fill out the “Subject” line and the “From” line
6. Choose an embargo date and time (this means the email cannot be sent out before specified date and time, even if you accidentally process it too soon)
7. On “Format” click the “Auto-detect” button
8. On “Send as” choose “Text and HTML”
9. Type out the message and format it using the toolbar
10. It’s a good idea to send a test message to yourself to proof it
11. Check the boxes next to the lists you wish to send it to
12. Click “Send to Selected Mailinglists”
13. In order for the message to actually be sent, you must click “Process Queue” on the right-hand side. This will process all messages embargoed up to the current date and time
14. Don’t forget to log out!
